Frequently Asked Questions

All our basic roof inspections are free. Our team will meet with you, inspect your roof, talk you through the problems they found, and answer any questions you have. If it’s a small repair, we’ll provide an estimate. If it’s a larger issue or full replacement, we’ll help you file an insurance claim.

No, we don’t. The law is clear that the homeowner is responsible for paying their deductible. If you need help with your deductible, ask about our financing options.

First, you should call a trusted roofing company before you call your insurance company to file a claim. We can inspect your roof and confirm if it warrants filing a claim, plus inspect the rest of your home’s exterior to see if other items (like siding, gutters, fences, etc.) should be included. Second, the process can feel overwhelming if it’s your first time through it, but we have lots of experience with the process and will walk you through it and answer any questions along the way. If your case gets complicated, we can recommend a public adjuster to help you through the insurance claims process. The process should be simple and we work hard to make it something you don’t have to think too much about.

We do lots of roof repair and roof replacement jobs where the homeowners pay directly rather than filing it through insurance. We can provide you with financing options if paying cash out of pocket is not the best fit for your budget. We’ll inspect the roof, provide a detailed estimate, and answer any questions you have about the process or the cost. Once you’re ready, you sign the contract and we get started on your roof.

ACV and RCV are two options for how your insurance policy covers the roof, and it’s important to know the difference. Actual cash value policies often have lower premiums, but they cover less when it’s time to get your roof replaced because the insurance company factors in the depreciation of the roof. To get your roof replaced with an ACV policy, you’ll owe your deductible plus the non-recoverable depreciation amount required by your insurance. An RCV policy means your insurance will cover the complete cost of replacing the roof, regardless of its age or condition, which better accommodates increases in materials or labor and ensures your home is restored to its prior condition. It is important to note, in either situation you are still responsible for your deductible.

GAF is the oldest shingle manufacturer in the United States. They have strict requirements for their certified installer program that exceed most state requirements for the install process and minimum insurance carried. Only about 1% of roofing companies in the United States achieve certified installer status with GAF. Be sure to ask about our lifetime manufacturer warranty.
